The National Weather Service has issued a
Flash Flood Watch for Coastal Cape May County beginning Friday afternoon (July 28) through Saturday afternoon (July 29). Rainfall totals during this time will generally range from 2 to 4 inches; however tracts of thunderstorms may result in significantly higher amounts.
Heavy rain in a short period of time may result in rapidly rising water levels flooding low lying streets. Motorists are cautioned to remove vehicles that may be exposed to the rising water.
Please do not drive through flood waters, as your wake will cause damage not only to your vehicle but to surrounding commercial and residential buildings.
If your property is being rented during this time, it is recommended that you reach out to your tenants to inform them of this potential risk.
Thank you.
