The Sea Isle City Beach Patrol will host their annual 1-Mile Ocean Swim on Saturday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. The starting line for this box swim, which is open to athletes of all ages, will be at the water's edge on Sea Isle’s 61
st Street Beach.
Online pre-registration for individuals ($20.00 per person) and online pre-registration for teams and clubs ($22.00 per person) is available until Thursday, July 20, at 11:59 p.m. Pre-registered swimmers can pick up their Race Packets on Race Day, July 22, between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Sea Isle City Beach Patrol Headquarters, 44th Street and the Beach.

In-person registration for individuals ($35.00 per person) and in-person registration for teams and clubs ($37.00 per person) is available on Race Day between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Sea Isle City Beach Patrol Headquarters, 44th Street and the Beach.
There is no mail-in registration for this event. The Sea Isle City Beach Patrol 1-Mile Ocean Swim will take place rain or shine unless an electrical storm or dangerous surf conditions necessitate delaying the start of the race until later in the day. If conditions do not improve, the swim will be cancelled. Weather cancellations will be announced on the beach patrol's Facebook and Twitter accounts. Entry fees are non-refundable, even in the event of cancellation.
Last year's overall first place winner of the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol’s 2016 1-Mile Ocean Swim was Billy Auty, 43, of Wildwood, NJ (center). Chip timing will be provided for all competitors. Wet suits are permitted regardless of the water's temperature. Compuscore Computer Services will provide race results. A complete, overall order of finish will be available on their website:

Transportation of gear from the start to finish lines will be provided, and refreshments will be offered for swimmers after the race. High quality tee-shirts will be distributed to the first 225 registrants.

An awards ceremony will be held at the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol headquarters, 44th Street and the Beach, on Race Day at 12:00 noon. Prizes will be given to the top swimmers in a variety of age-groups by gender.
