The 2017 Baby Parade will delight spectators lining the resort’s oceanfront Promenade, 34th to 44th Street, on Tuesday, July 18, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (Rain date: July 19). The parade will feature a small army of children, ranging from newborns to age 10, who will appear wearing costumes, riding on floats or strolling along in their “Sunday Best” attire.
In addition to a bevy of charming youngsters, fancy costumes and creative floats, the parade will also feature live music and many other participants from the surrounding community.
Judging will take place prior to the start of the parade in a variety of categories, including Most Attractive Boy and Girl (Infant to 2 years); Riding: Fancy, Comic and Original (decorative strollers, wagons, cars, small floats, etc.); Walking: Fancy, Comic or Original; and Floats. Prizes will be awarded to winners at the Promenade’s main viewing area at JFK Boulevard.
