Our area continues to feel the effects of a low pressure system, which will bring strong on-shore winds through Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service has upgraded our area from a Coastal Flood Advisory to a Coastal Flood Warning. Moderate coastal flooding is now predicted during times of high tide today (January 23) and tomorrow (Tuesday, January 24).
High Tides are approximately 5:00 p.m. tonight and approximately 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Please take normal precautions with vehicles and property on ground floors, and refrain from traveling during the times of high tide.
Please be mindful of the destructive wake your vehicle can produce while driving through flood waters.
As always, please stay informed for any changes in the forecast and be prepared in the next 24-hours should the rain, wind or tides be higher than predicted.
Should you have an emergency and need an immediate police response, call 911.
