sic-womens-civic-club-4 Each autumn, the Sea Isle City Women’s Civic Club hosts a Card Party to raise money for charity.  During this year’s fundraiser in September, Civic Club members were able to collect $3600 for local food pantries, which was the largest amount ever raised during one of their card parties.
“In recent years, the Civic Club has recognized that food pantries are struggling, so we decided to give the proceeds from our Card Party to the two largest pantries in Cape May County,” said Civic Club President Deb Genovese.  “Then, at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we try to support smaller food pantries.” The Women’s Civic Club is the longest-standing civic organization in Sea Isle City. The Civic Club meets every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Community Lodge, located at 300 JFK Boulevard, where members enjoy bridge, mahjong and other table-top games.  For more information about the Sea Isle City Women’s Civic Club, please phone (609) 465-3251.
