Ocean City to Remember Hailey Parker With Dance Party to Benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand

FLYER PHOTOS.4 Hailey Parker was a brave 11-year old who decided to help kids with cancer after receiving her own diagnosis of brain cancer last march. On Saturday, June 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hailey’s friends and family will honor her memory and fulfill her wish with a dance party and lemonade stand--and much more—to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer. The event will take place on 8th Street between Ocean and Wesley Avenues, in front of the Dance Place, 618 East 8th St. in Ocean City. There will be a dance party with DJ, lemonade stand, frozen treats from Yoasis, a silent auction of goods and services, face painting, characters, a visit from an OC Fire Department fire truck glitter temporary tattoos, nail painting and much more. This year’s event is a follow-up to Hailey’s initial event during which she and her cousins set up a front yard lemonade stand and raised $527. She turned the funds over to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, the charitable organization whose mission is to promote awareness for childhood cancers, raise money for cancer research, and to make a positive impact on other children and encourage they get involved to make a difference for kids with cancer.
