Each summer, the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol hosts the Captain Thomas P. McCann Mascot School for boys and girls, ages 4-8, to teach children about beach safety, team work and good sportsmanship. Then, on the following Saturday, the participants enjoy Mascot Races.

During the Mascot Races, children wearing colorful event tee shirts participate in a variety of activities, including sprinting and surf bashing competitions – always under the watchful eyes of SICBP lifeguards.

Mascot School and Races are long-standing traditions in Sea Isle City that have been educating and delighting youngsters for generations.
