Even though today is the Winter Solstice, this week’s temperatures have felt much more “autumn-like.”  Nonetheless, the weather has not stopped the holiday season from unfolding very quickly, and Christmas will be here in just a few days. As is the case each December, there have been many wonderful holiday events taking place all across town this month.  Clearly, the Spirit of the Season is alive and well in Sea Isle City – and that fact is perfectly obvious when it comes to our annual Mayor’s Holiday Toy and Food Drive!  I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the individuals, businesses and organizations that generously donated toys, non-perishable food items and cash towards this year’s Toy and Food Drive.  Your generosity will ensure that everyone in Sea Isle City will enjoy the Christmas Season – thank you all!

I hope you can be in Sea Isle City to ring-in the New Year, because many of our local restaurants will be open for business and there will also be a fantastic New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display on the JFK Boulevard Beach at 8:00 p.m. on December 31. So, why not plan to welcome 2018 her in Sea Isle City and begin the year in style?

Regardless if you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza or any other holiday during this time of year, I hope everyone is enjoying the season and has a Happy and Healthy New Year!  See you in 2018!

Smile…You’re in Sea Isle!
