A 64-year-old South Jersey man has been charged with sexually assaulting two boys in a Sea Isle City residence, authorities announced Monday.
William Smith Jr., of Pine Hill, N.J., was arrested on March 29 and charged with two counts of sexual assault and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said.
Smith was arrested following an investigation in February by the Sea Isle City Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after two boys reported being sexually assaulted by him, according to a news release.
He is currently in custody at the Cape May County Correctional Center, the release stated.
