The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch in effect for Sea Isle City from 8 p.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters are predicting 2 to 3.5 inches of rain, with greater amounts possible in localized pockets.

“Rain, heavy at times, is expected beginning this evening and continuing through much, if not all of the day on Tuesday,” the Sea Isle Police Department said in a weather alert Monday.

Residents and visitors should be prepared to monitor conditions and to move vehicles from flood-prone areas if necessary.

The forecast also calls for several days of strong north and northeast winds this week. At this time, no coastal flooding advisories have been posted by the National Weather Service, but they are likely to be issued in advance of high tide Wednesday at around 1:30 p.m.

For police and fire department emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call (609) 263-4311.
