The members of Sea Isle City’s Garden Club will host their annual Flower Sale Fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will support the club’s charitable efforts. Shown during a previous Flower Sale are members (from left) Mary Tighe, Eleanor Mooore, Ann Organ, Monica Santarchangelo, Rose Divney, Kathy Wilson, Janice Gheysons, and Donna Hadfield.

Due to the rainy forecast, the Sea Isle City Garden Club’s annual Flower Sale will move from Dealy Field to the Municipal Gymnasium inside the former public school at 4501 Park Road.  The Flower Sale’s hours will remain the same: Saturday, May 19 (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and Sunday, May 20 (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).

The Flower Sale will feature a large selection of quality flowers sold in flats, such as begonias, marigolds, vinca and other popular blossoms. There will also be flowering mandevilla and hibiscus, hanging floral baskets and other potted plants for sale – including tomato plants, herbs and a selection of perennials.

Also during the Flower Sale, members of Sea Isle City’s Environmental Commission will give-away free tree seedlings to every person who attends the event (while supplies last). The seedlings, which will be provided by the New Jersey DEP, are species of trees that grow well on barrier islands.

Proceeds from the Flower Sale will benefit the Garden Club’s scholarship program and other charitable efforts. For additional information about the 2018 Flower Sale, please phone (609) 263-1157 or (609) 263-0622, or email ladybugsic@comcast.net.
