From Humble Beginnings. . .

Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi was born into a large Ghanaian family to a mother of nine boys, himself the eldest. Though she loved her sons as best as she could, life proved challenging, especially under the weight of providing for their education, health, and well-being. This burden often stood as an obstacle to Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi’s progress, though he humbly waited and prayed for a future opportunity.

After passing the common entrance exam on four separate occasions and praying for God’s support, a shining light entered his life—Mrs. Sarpong. Through her generosity and kindness, Mrs. Sarpong—a friend of his late mother—offered to cover the cost of his secondary education, granting him the opportunity for a better life.

After graduating, it was the generosity and spirituality of these two guiding women that led Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi to establish his first pharmacy, which has since grown to become one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in West Africa— Danadams Pharmaceutical.

. . .To Soaring Success

When Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi looks back on his life, he never laments the difficulty of his childhood. Instead, he thanks God for putting him on a path that forced him to strive for success. After graduating, God gave him the opportunity to study in the United States, complete a degree in pharmacy, and gain experience working in the West.

Through all this time, though, Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi remembered that it was through God that all things are possible. Today, he sites that the only reason he wants to live is for Christ. That dedication has been the secret to his many successes.

Between 2011 and 2012 alone, the company grew more than 36% and Danadams Pharmaceutical spokespersons were quoted saying that, with their support, the Ghanaian and Nigerian pharmaceutical industry would grow to more than $2 billion by 2018.
