During the Aug. 27 City Council meeting, Ordinance 1644 was Introduced with First Reading. Ordinance 1644 was written to establish the minimum and maximum ranges for salaries and overtime compensation for officers and employees of the City of Sea Isle City.

Also, on Aug. 27, Ordinance 1637 was adopted following Second Reading and Public Hearing. Ordinance 1637 amended the local Construction Code by adjusting fees for construction, which will keep Sea Isle City compliant with State Statutes.

Each of the eight (8) Resolutions on the August 27 Consent Agenda was approved, including:

  • Resolution 155, which authorized the approval of a Raffle Application for Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School.
  • Resolution 157, which authorized a Change Order Decrease in the amount of $5,753.93 to Kline Construction Company for the 83rd Street Drainage Reconstruction Project.
  • Resolution 158, which authorized a Shared Services Agreement with the City of Ocean City for the provision of a Qualified Purchasing Agent.
  • Resolution 161, which authorized the advertisement for bid of a 2020 “Load and Pack” vehicle for the Department of Public Works, which will be used to collect trash and recycling from individual receptacles throughout Sea Isle City.

The next City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers. We hope to see you there.
