The Sea Isle City Beach Patrol will host the 2022 Captain Bill Gallagher 10-Mile Island Run on Saturday, July 30.

The race will begin at 5:30 p.m. in front of Beach Patrol Headquarters on the Promenade at 44th Street and the Beach.

Members of the public are invited to participate in this yearly competition – including individual runners and representatives from running clubs and private organizations.

The 10-Mile Island Run takes place on a vehicle-free, flat course. Approximately 2.5 miles of the course is on Sea Isle’s paved Promenade (boardwalk) and the remainder of the course is on the beach.

Online preregistration closes Wednesday, July 27, at 11 p.m. ($25 per individual runner; and $27 per member of a running club/organization).

Race day registration closes Saturday, July 30, at 4:30 p.m. ($35 per individual runner; $37 per member of a running club/organization).

Entry fees are nonrefundable. High-quality event T-shirts will be given to the first 1,000 registrants.

Electronic chip timing will provide the race time for each competitor. Awards will be presented to the top male and female runners in numerous categories.
