On October 11, during their annual Dinner Meeting, the Board of Trustees for Volunteers in Medicine’s Free Clinics of South Jersey swore-in three new board members, Craig DeGenova, of Upper Township; Joseph Iudica, Jr, of Ocean View; and Carolyn Johnson Peterson, of Northfield.

Mr. DeGenova is the Sr. Vice President of Commercial Lending at Ocean First Bank.

Mr. Iudica, a semi-retired stock broker and branch manager for Boenning & Scattergood, Inc., previously held leadership positions with the Ocean City School Board, Ocean City’s Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club and Ocean City Home Bank.

Ms. Peterson is the Director of Marketing for “Right at Home.” She is a former teacher who has also worked with Compassionate Care Hospice, Alzheimer’s Association’s Delaware Valley Chapter and other notable organizations.

“We are excited to have Craig, Joe and Carolyn join our team because they each bring a wealth of experience and an impressive network that will surely benefit VIM,” said Executive Director Jackie Meiluta.

VIM operates two free health care facilities for residents of Cape May and Atlantic Counties, who have no or limited access to medical insurance.  VIM focuses on primary health care, emphasizing disease prevention, health promotion and patient education in easily accessible facilities – with the same dignity and confidentiality afforded in the private sector.
