The Crowning of the 2017 Polar Bear Royal Family takes place Friday, February 17, at LaCosta Complex, JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue.  The Prince and Princess Contests (for ages 12-16) occur at 7:30 p.m. (info: www.seaislechamber.com or 609-263-9090), and the King & Queen Contests (for ages 21 and over) is at 9:00 p.m. (info: www.lacosta-seaisle.com or 609-263-3611).

The Polar Bear Plunge Costume Contest will start at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 18, at LaCosta Complex. Contestants can pre-register online or in person on the day of the event (info: www.lacosta-seaisle.com or phone 609-263-3611).

The 2017 Polar Bear Plunge happens at 2:00 p.m. on the JFK Boulevard Beach on February 18. Admission is $25 per person, and proceeds benefit city-wide events sponsored by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce & Revitalization (info: www.lacosta-seaisle.com or 609-263-3611). Post-Plunge Party starts at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and the Costume Contest Awards Ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. (both at LaCosta Complex).

The Mike’s Seafood Polar Bear 5K Run / 1.5-Mile Fun Walk for Autism begins at 12:00 noon on Sunday, February 19 on the Promenade.  Proceeds from this event benefit Autism charities (info: www.polarbearrunwalkforautism.com or 609-602-5734).

The First Annual Polar Bear Plunge Cornhole (Baggo) Tournament will begin are 3:00 p.m.  at LaCosta on Sunday, February 19, featuring prizes, a complimentary buffet and more (info: www.philadelphiacornholeleague.com or philadelphiacornholeleague@gmail.com).

Jitney service will be available on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.; and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
