Fourth of July is fast approaching and the weekend before the holiday turned out better than ever! With days reaching into the 90’s and beautiful skies, the beach was filled with people relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. Beachgoers from all around were out to enjoy the perfect day.

“We have been coming here for years,” said Jennifer Clark of Delaware County while her children played in the sand. “My parents brought me here every year, and my family decided we would keep the tradition with our own kids. My kids are beach lovers, so we have been having a blast going to the beach in the morning, and heading to the promenade at night. We are looking forward to the fireworks on Fourth of July!”

The Clarks are not the only ones keeping a tradition alive. Moira McKee and her friend Gloria Hatcher said that they grew up coming here as well. “We love spending time with family,” said the girls. “We have just been having fun grilling, drinking, sitting on the beach listening to the waves, and enjoying some much needed relaxing.”

Relaxing on the beach is a blast, but that isn’t the only place that someone can take their mind off of work. The clubs and bars in town have been a frequent destination for anyone over the age of 21. Friends from Maple Shade, New Jersey have spent their time in Sea Isle City on going out and having fun. The Carousel is their bar of choice, and has even made it into their plans for the whole vacation! “We love the Carousel,” said Tiffany Caputo. “last night was a blast and we plan to have perfect attendance at the carousel during our vacation!” when the holiday was mentioned, they said “We’re very excited! We are going to build a pyramid of people. The girls are in red, the boys are in blue, and we have one girl in white. We got all of the shirts from Old Navy and we are going to tweet them a picture of it!”

The beach is not the only way of having fun on the water. Friends from Philadelphia were relaxing on the beach to take a break from their usual entertainment. “We love it down here,” said Derek Schatz. “We really couldn’t ask for a better weekend. My friends and I are just having a blast trying to catch a tan, catch some oysters, and have some fun. You can’t ask for more!”
